Cypher Sentinel · Platform Architecture
Frontier Security Architecture. One Coordinated Defense.
Cypher Sentinel brings 160 surfaced capabilities across 90 customer-facing engines and 27 command families into a sovereign cybersecurity convergence platform. Native capabilities and connected security tools contribute to shared operational context. You define where the platform operates and what authority it has.
27 Families. 90 Engines. 160 Capabilities.
Three connected views explain how the platform is organized, from broad areas of operation to the functions available to your security team.
- 27 Command families
- Related areas of security operation, organized for navigation and coordinated use.
- 90 Customer-facing engines
- The engines that bring those areas into the platform experience.
- 160 Surfaced capabilities
- The functions available across those engines and command families.
These counts describe the platform's breadth and organization. They do not add together and do not represent a requirement to replace that number of tools.
Keep Your Stack. Connect the Defense.
Convergence brings information and capabilities into the same investigation and response workflow. The architecture connects four parts of the operating environment:
Connected environment
Your Existing Security Tools
Selected SIEM, endpoint, network, identity and cloud systems connect through bridges and APIs. The agreed interfaces and permissions define the information and actions available.

A Connected Investigation
Relevant endpoint, network, identity and threat information can be considered together. The AI operating model is designed to reduce manual correlation and help teams move from signals to decisions.

Coordinated, Governed Response
Policies define which actions are recommended, approved in advance or delegated for autonomous execution. The customer controls deployment boundaries and authority.

From an Endpoint Signal to a Coordinated Response
An illustrative investigation shows how the operating model comes together. The same sequence provides a useful starting point for a demonstration or a pilot in your environment.
- 01
Bring in the Signal
A suspicious endpoint event enters the investigation from a native capability or a selected connected tool.
- 02
Add Relevant Context
Consider related identity activity, network behavior and threat intelligence to understand the event in context.
- 03
Build the Investigation
Organize the evidence and proposed response so the security team can assess the situation and the affected assets.
- 04
Apply the Customer's Authority
Request human approval, execute a pre-approved playbook or act within delegated policy. The selected systems and permissions determine which actions are available.
- 05
Review the Outcome
Review the investigation record and response outcome against the agreed security objective and acceptance criteria.

Cryptography Within the Security Architecture
Cypher Sentinel brings post-quantum cryptography and homomorphic encryption into the same platform as detection, investigation and response. They address different needs: post-quantum capabilities support cryptographic resilience, while homomorphic encryption enables computation on encrypted data for applicable workloads.
Deployment design connects those capabilities to the data, workflows and cryptographic boundaries that need protection. The post-quantum security overview explains algorithm roles and migration planning; Zero Trust architecture explains how identity, device and policy context contribute to access decisions.
AI-Led Operations. Your Authority.
The customer defines the operating model for each workflow. Authority can be delegated at different levels as the mission and operating requirements demand.
- Recommend: investigate, correlate and propose a response for human approval.
- Execute approved playbooks: carry out workflows already authorized within specified conditions and limits.
- Act autonomously within policy: coordinate permitted actions within the customer's defined scope, with higher-impact actions escalated for approval.
Deployment choices include on-premises infrastructure, customer-controlled private cloud and isolated environments. The architecture review establishes available data sources, connected tools, model operation, updates and approved transfer procedures for that environment.
Evaluate the Architecture Against Your Mission
A focused pilot makes the value concrete. Start with a priority workflow and the security environment you already operate, then agree the connected systems, customer authority and evidence needed to assess the outcome.
- Security scope: the assets, threat scenario and native capabilities to evaluate.
- Integration scope: the specific external products, interfaces, permissions and data flows.
- Operational control: the deployment boundary, approval rules and permitted response actions.
- Acceptance evidence: the observed workflow, investigation record and results against agreed criteria.
Government and defense evaluations and critical infrastructure evaluations bring their own mission and operational requirements to this process.
Architecture Questions
What do 27 command families, 90 engines and 160 capabilities count?
Command families group related areas of operation. Customer-facing engines bring those areas into the platform experience. Surfaced capabilities describe the functions available across them. They are three views of the same platform, not additive totals or a count of products that must be replaced.
How does Cypher Sentinel work with an existing security stack?
Integration bridges and APIs connect selected security products with Cypher Sentinel's native capabilities. The deployment defines the systems, available signals, permitted data flows and response actions. Existing SIEM, endpoint, network and identity tools can remain part of the operating environment.
Who decides whether the AI can act?
The customer defines the authority delegated to each workflow. The operating model supports recommendations for human approval, execution of pre-approved playbooks and autonomous action within defined policies. Higher-impact actions escalate for approval.
What should an architecture evaluation demonstrate?
An evaluation should show one agreed workflow across the selected native capabilities and external connections. Review the information used, the customer policy applied, the approval or action taken and the resulting investigation record. Assess these results against acceptance criteria agreed for the environment.
